Yass Mums want a new Hospital Commitment

Three young mothers who have each given birth on the side of the road on the Barton Highway are petitioning the NSW Government to plan for a new hospital in Yass. They argue that the population of Yass Valley will grow to 20,000 people by 2023. Last year more than 180 Yass Valley women had to travel to Canberra to give birth and they want to see a commitment to local birthing facilities. They have successfully lobbied the Yass Valley Council to identify land that can be put aside for a new hospital. What do you think?
