Common sense prevails as the Federal Government and the Federal Opposition support the re-regulation of electricity prices.
So, why does the NSW Premier disagree?
Labor's policy has long been that we will re-regulate the electricity companies to ensure that consumers are treated fairly. We want to eliminate energy company super profits to make electricity more affordable for families.
The NSW Liberals deregulated the electricity market in 2014, and stood by doing nothing while the electricity companies gouged consumers.
Now that the Prime Minister Mr Turnbull is backing re-regulation too, will Premier Berijiklian admit she got it wrong?
